ANNOUNCEMENT
To all members of the Society,

It is with sadness that we announce the resignation of Chris from our Board of Directors. Chris has been on the Board for one year now, and has served us excellently as our treasurer. Her reasons are her own, but she feels that by resigning someone with more energy can take her place on the Board and serve you better.
So now it falls to the members to nominate a replacement Board member. Please give it some thought and we will be asking for nominations at the March Town Meeting. We will then have a vote during our April Town Meeting.
In the mean time Carol, our member at large will be assuming Chris' Treasury details.

TEN DOLLAR FRIDAYS!

Several of our members have suggested that we reduce the price of admission on Fridays in order to build up the Friday night attendance. The members spoke and we listened... so for now we are going to charge just $10 admission on Fridays for Society members to attend the space.

Door People Needed

Helping on the door as an opener or closer is a good way to do your four hours a month needed to be a voting member. And the scheduling committee can always use new people who would like to help us to make opening and closing of the Society an easy and fun job!. Not only do you earn your hours, but you get in free on the night you open or close. So, especially on Saturdays, there is plenty of time to get your hours in and still play and socialize with your friends.

So here's the 101/basics class for anyone debating buying a new whip at the flea (buy it, buy it!) or anyone who has one already but hits themselves or their subby w/ equal frequency (you always want to hit the subby!) So bring your whip or borrow one if you just want to try it out and see what you can hit!

If you come to the Space more than 3 times a year, it is well worth your while to become a Member - membership has its privileges!Potluck Munches are open to everyone, aged 21 and up; from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Everyone is also welcome to all workshops, discussions, and demonstrations. To stay afterwards for the Play Nights, you must be Sponsored by a Member of The Society (bring your Membership cards) or a current member of a BDSM group. (Your group-card is your "Sponsor", so bring it, please!) *Reminder* as with any night there is always the option to not participate in the theme or activities and to just enjoy the evening like a regular play night/ The Society is for people 21 and up. Neither drugs nor alcohol are allowed anywhere on the premises, including The Society's parking lot. Smoking is only allowed outside in the parking lot.

Please note that the Saturday workday will now occur on the second Saturday of the month to align with the Pot Luck Munch. This way in one trip to the Space a member can get their volunteer credits, attend the Munch right after the workday and stay for play.
The next Saturday workday will be March 10th - Noon to 4pm.

February 17th WMPE Night/Flea Aftercare 8pm to 1am

WMPE is this Friday, and we'll be having flea aftercare. Come show us your new pretty toys. Let talk about: who found the best deal of the flea? (it was me) What great classes gave you new food for thought? Did something icky happen you want to ask for feed back on? Where did you have the most fun?

February 18th Work Day Noon to 4pm

The Saturday monthly workday is upon us once again.

Please bring anything else to our attention - time and personnel willing, we will do our best to get it and the items on task list done.

Any help of ability and skill level is needed. Please stop by for however long or short you can.

Remember, this is your Space too. We appreciate your help with keeping it in shape for the next time you want to come by & play.

Coming out to assist will count as volunteer hours that you need if you are to be eligible to vote, as well as contribute to your Society Bucks.

February 18th House Submissive Program/Pot Luck Munch/clothing, toy and Book Swap/Zap, violet wands/knotty dirty used rope/demos/Regular Play 6pm to 2am

Pot Luck Munch 6pm

Cost: $5 if you are only staying for the Potluck munch. If you stay for the play night that follows then it is $15 for Society Members, and $25 for members of recognized groups and sponsored guests. Description: Starting off with a potluck dinner, socializing, and getting to know our Space in a non play environment. Followed by Circle Time where everyone gets a non business update on the goings on of the Space, meeting the Board Members, and meeting other members and guests of the Society. Followed by The Society Orientation where everyone is welcome, first timers at the Space and long standing members. We will cover some of the 'basics' like the rules of the Society, dungeon etiquette, what it is we do here, some of our non-spoken polices, how to become involved, and a Q&A segment. So come and join our Other Family. Hope to see you there.

Followed by Book, Toy and Clothing Swap 8PM to 11:30

Did you get new stuff at The Flea and have no place to put it? Is your Toybag filled to bursting? Are your bookshelves groaning with the weight of books you have already read, but cant bring yourself to toss out?

Well heres your answer! Bring your gently used clothes, books, and toys to The Space and get some new (to you) things for FREE!! Anything not taken will be given to the Goodwill in Middletown.

Part one of After the flea 101...



So we are presenting two how to classes aimed at new items you may have bought at the flea... or ones that maybe you want to know more about before you buy in the future....

First up we have Remley and Bazil showing you how to use and what to do w/ that pretty new violet wand! Oh and what not to do, just as important! So bring your new wand and if you have someone to zap, bring them as well... Or if you have had a wand for awhile and just hope to see some new way to use it, or just see our two presenters show us all a good time, the more the merrier!



Part 2 of After the flea 101 (This time I mean it!)

Now you have all your pretty rope in every color... There's red rope and blue rope and green rope and yellow rope oh my! After you untie the subby who is now floating happily away in happy subby space you are left w/ a pile of used rope. This rope must now be cleaned and stored properly... but how do you do that? This is where Anothervu comes in, fresh from his trip to Antarctica w/ a bunch of indignant penguins to teach us how to clean, store, and preserve your rainbow of new rope for many fun years of tying people to stuff!
